The continent of Asia has been crucially important to the textile industry for many years now. High growth rates are making the markets there steadily expand, and a further factor is the increase in local demand caused by the continually growing purchasing power of many Asian citizens. In 2011 the markets of Asia made up more than 50 percent of the overall sales of the Groz-Beckert Group. This is borne out by the enormous market volume but it also shows that the Groz-Beckert product range, with over 70,000 products, is also fulfilling all requirements locally.

Groz-Beckert in Asia – locally active since 1960

The fact that Groz-Beckert has been present in Asia for decades with its own production and sales companies has played an important and decisive role in its success there. Over many years the company has succeeded in getting to know people, markets and their specific needs, in making key contacts and developing especially market-suitable products on that basis. Intercultural competence and tolerance are also quite natural at Groz-Beckert. From 1960 onward, the company successfully established various different production and sales subsidiaries in Asia:
