Concentration of weaving machine parts division

Consistent focusing of the weaving machine parts division in Albstadt, Germany

Parallel to this transfer of GROB activities, the headquarters of Groz-Beckert in Albstadt will in future also be the contact partner for the portfolio in everything involved in weaving preparation of companies Oskar Fischer GmbH & Co. KG, Rottenburg and Knotex GmbH & Co. KG, Augsburg, as well as for drawing-in machines. Both companies, with their comprehensive weaving-preparation portfolios, represent a strategic enhancement of the existing range of weaving-machine components.

Continuous strategy

As the central distribution brand of the Groz-Beckert weaving machine component division, GROB will remain the competent systems supplier for weaving. Future security is guaranteed here by the Groz-Beckert Group, which is providing a wide-ranging corporate base worldwide with approximately 6,300 employees. This is an important argument, especially in economically turbulent times - as is the proven GROB quality, which will remain a decisive unique selling point in the future as well. For all GROB products, from the heald to the heald frame, will continue to be manufactured at the Group's own facilities as before. The highest standards of quality and delivery thus go without saying. Moreover, where securing of market-suitable product availability is concerned, the current strategy will also be retained.

A tried-and-tested connection

GROB and Groz-Beckert have grown together steadily since the year 2000. The integration that took place nine years ago marked the beginning of an interdisciplinary cooperation that generated important synergies and further development. This solidarity has been demonstrated impressively; examples include the ITMA 2007 in Munich or the ITMA Asia + CITME 2008 in Shanghai. The bringing together of all relevant activities to a shared location is now providing an optimized basis - especially in these troubled economic times - that will serve the markets more efficiently and more economically. With its weaving machine components division, Groz-Beckert now sees itself as well-positioned to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
